After we arrived after a bit of a drive, you know what had to happen. A trip to the bathroom, straight off. I hope I didn’t break any laws, but I had to take a picture of what was in there.A tv over every urinal! Awesome!
Good stuff. And speaking of good stuff, what a manicured course this was. The fairways, wow. The greens….incredible.
When I thought of Predator Ridge, long before I played it, the name itself was a bit intimidating. But looking at the course once I got there, it was a thing of beauty.
$140, no problem. This was a pure golf treat. Having said that, almost too nice, at least regarding the greens. I’ve never played on greens so perfect. Talk about stimpmeter! Add to that the undulations, 3 putts were not rare, almost scary common. From the blue tees the course is rated at a 130, but I’m pretty sure that’s all after your approach shot. (putting humour!)
So, I didn’t see any predators or any ridges, just lots of perfect fairways and big blue skies.
The weekend we played this course, the Telus Skins game was set to start 2 days later. Mike Weir,Colin Mongomerie,Freddy Couples,Camilo Villegas, and the Shark, Greg Norman were the players involved. So I’m sure the golf course was particularly well groomed. We could see all the fencing and tents being set up, along with TV towers. Here you can see the tents set up by the driving range:
And if you look way down at the end of this fairway(don’t look at Henry’s white legs!), you can see a tower going up.
What more can I say about this course? By far the best maintained course I’ve played on, and when you consider the place is under snow during the winter, amazing.
A must play golf course. If you’re into spas, dining, even purchasing a time share/real estate, this is the place. Only 4 hours from Vancouver, what are you waiting for?
